The Hoosier Environmental Council’s tenth annual Greening the Statehouse (GTS) event is coming up in just a couple of months. GTS is Indiana's largest annual sustainability gathering--the year's best opportunity to learn about leading environmental issues in our state. This year GTS will be a day of how-to’s: how to organize in your community, how to engage with lawmakers, how to communicate with the media, and so many more; practical and necessary skills that should be in every advocate’s toolbox. Keynote speaker Mitch Hescox will have a powerful story to share: while he spent his early years in the fossil fuel business, he has transformed into one of America’s leading conservative advocates for climate action.
GTS will be on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds.
Student tickets cost only $10 and include lunch. Register at http://www.hecweb.org/get-involved/gts2017/
