PACE-C 200 Issue Forum is a one-day, 1 credit hour class focusing on a single, complex (and often controversial) issue in our society.
Organized and moderated by PACE students (enrolled in PACE-C 440), the Issue Forum takes place on a Saturday each Fall and Spring semester. A student planning committee selects the upcoming forum topic during the semester before the Issue Forum is held.
Students who participate in the forum will hear the perspectives of expert panelists, participate in small group discussions, and practice working with various perspectives on complex issues.
Any IU Bloomington student may enroll in PACE-C 200 during registration. In addition to participating in the forum, students will be expected to complete reading and writing assignments before the forum, a post-forum assignment, a brief check-in with the instructor, and other related online activities.
PACE students who wish to lead the Issue Forum discussion are invited to contact the course instructor and enroll in PACE-C 440, with permission.
